I have the usual to say...not much going on. My weeks at work have either been dead or crazy busy...my weekends have been taken up by parties, showers, family, etc. Sometimes I feel like I hardly have time for myself anymore! I am going out of town on Friday after work for my cousin's 21st (happy b-day Case!) and then have to rush back Saturday for a martini/bachelorette party I am throwing for my friend. Both events should be a blast, but I will be worn out! As soon as our office admin gets back from her sick leave, I am going to try to take a few days to recharge my batteries. I normally work 9 hour days Monday-Thursday so that I can have every other Friday off...which is nice...but since she's been out, I've kept the same schedule but haven't been able to take any Fridays off...which is not so nice. On top of that, it's hard to get anyone really willing to watch the front desk to give me a lunch break, so I have been working through the majority of my lunches. So, that makes for 10 hours a day staring at a white wall. Boring!
So, needless to say, because of all that, I'm a bit antsy to just spend some quality time at home...with nothing to do!
Anyway, so my body does not like technology. At the front desk at work, I have received the wonderful blue screen with "FATAL ERROR" across it at least 6 times and for some reason, every cell phone I get tends to just stop working after a month or two. Is it my wonderfully magnetic personality that does it? Do I have a crazy amount of static in me? What's the deal? I can tell you this much, I was so excited to learn that AT&T finally had a place where you can go in and trade in your phone that's still under warranty rather than having to wait for them to mail you one and then send your old one in. Too bad I wasted an entire lunch break, and then some, waiting for the 3 people working there to move a *tad* faster than a zombie to do what should have taken 5 minutes! It was very aggravating. Then, on my way back from work, there was a wreck on the highway. This poor girl was facing oncoming traffic and both the front and the back of her car were completely smashed in. She looked white as a ghost! Poor thing.
Oh, yeah, so how dumb do you have to be to ride your bicycle down the middle of a highway? Yeah, I almost ran over a guy on a bicycle(!) when I was on my way to AT&T. What the hell? I checked my blind spot as I was moving over to exit (a very busy highway, might I add) and realized I was inches from running over a guy on bike! After I missed him and got to my exit, I look over to see him riding his bicycle in the middle lane of traffic on a highway! One of the busiest in Dallas! What an idiot! I'm so glad I didn't hit him.
Yeah, my lunch was VERY interesting today...not at all frustrating...I didn't cuss once at other people...not me...
RIGHT!!!
