My Ghetto Compact
A couple of weeks ago, I decided that I hated mineral make-up. Not only did it not provide the coverage I needed, but I felt like it showed off all my blonde peach fuzz and made me look really hairy. It probably didn't, but go with me. Even though I love, love, love MAC, it was really making me break out the last time I used it (thus, the switch to the mineral stuff). So, I decided to try something new. I read a ton of reviews at Sephora's site and decide to give Lorac a try. I LOVE the Break-through Foundation! It's great. However, for some reason I bought the translucent powder. I have never like translucent powder (I'm a bigger fan of the powder foundations as my regular powder) so who know what I was thinking. I've decided to use it as my "purse powder" for touch-ups. For some reason, Lorac didn't put much thought or effort into the applicator for it. It was basically a piece of toilet paper. So, while I was at MAC getting some eyeshadow (because 30 colors are not enough!), I bought one of their sponges that come with their foundation powders. Ha! That doesn't fit at all! So, now I have a rubber band around my compact to keep it closed. Ghetto. It gets better. I have been, continue to be, and will always remain un-dexterous (it's now a word). So, almost every time I try to put the rubber band back on, the compact goes flying out of my hand and lands on the hardest surface it can find. Luckily, the powder has not been broken. But, the case is slowly getting chipped away. Ghetto, again. So, now I have a compact, that wasn't all that cheap, wrapped in a rubber band with chipped plastic all over the outside. Nice. Really nice.
