Too good to be true!

I can't get into too many specifics here as this involves Jonathan's Christmas present, but what seemed like such an easy way to take care of a problem on Thursday, turned out not to be the case today. So, I went to a website and ordered his present. Let's say it's a dog. So, I decided to go with the purebred instead of the mutt...even though the purebred was more expensive than the mutt, this site didn't offer the mutt. However, it did offer the purebred with no shipping or taxes! So, that's why I chose it.

I bought the purebred dog. Approximately 2 hours later, I was showing off the purebred to a co-worker when I see that this site had knocked another 30% off! I was mad because I had JUST bought it! I called the customer services line and prepared my arguement. Turns out, I didn't need it. They said, "Oh, no problem! We'll credit your card the difference and you'll receive a new statment with the adjusted price when we ship your purebred!" Wow...that was easy!

Today, in my email, is an email from this site saying they have shipped my dog. And what do you know? At the original price. I go to my AmEx account and see if they just messed up the email and they really did take off the 30%. Nope. Charged the original amount.

I knew it was too good to be true! So, now I have to call them. I also have to call my mortgage company because my property tax statement was sent to me and didn't say that it was sent to my mortgage company. Which it should have been! It's a fun, frustrating Monday.
